Lac (Laksha) is a serum and secretion from a scale insect species Laccifer lacca. The lac is heated and filtered before using for medicinal purposes. The purified form ie, Shellac is known to be varnya means that which enhances complexion. It is used in many cosmetic products. It is applied over the skin in skin diseases. It helps skin retain its natural texture and glow.

We have used Laksha as one of  the major ingredients in our Sandal fairness face pack and Sandal fairness face cream. The combined action of the herbs has been found to reduce acne, hyperpigmentation, tan and scars left by skin ailments caused by chicken pox and herpes. Since Laksha has excellent wound healing property it helps skin repair and rejuvenation.
